At ChiroTrendz we employ a plethora of techniques to help you get better. Drs Kolby and Jason received their initial training in chiropractic care at Logan University. They have added additional treatments that compliment chiropractic care and facilitate healing.

According to the American Chiropractic Association (ACA), chiropractic is a health care profession that focuses on disorders of the musculoskeletal system and the nervous system, and the effects of these disorders on general health.  Although chiropractors are well known for treating low back pain and headaches, they treat so many more neuromusculoskeletal complaints such as neck pain, pain in the joints and legs, etc. If it moves, chiropractic care may be able to keep it in motion

Doctors of Chiropractic, often referred to as chiropractors or chiropractic physicians, practice a drug-free, hands-on approach to health care that includes patient examination, diagnosis and treatment. Chiropractors have broad diagnostic skills and are also trained to recommend therapeutic and rehabilitative exercises, as well as to provide nutritional, dietary and lifestyle counseling. At ChiroTrendz, our Doctors have been trained in  the  following chiropractic techniques:

Physical Medicine Modalities and Therapeutic Procedures

After removing any joint fixations, or subluxations as we call them, the supporting tissues can be rehabbed and strengthened. We subscribe to the notion that you can't rehab a stuck joint and therefore utilize physical modalities and therapeutic procedures in conjunction with chiropractic care. We employ quite a few modalities and procedures to facilitate healing. A few of the modalities that we use include the following:

  • Heat and Cold (Cryotherapy) Therapies
  • Interferential Electrical Stimulation
  • Therapeutic Massage
  • Cold Laser
  • Post Isometric Relaxation (PIR) Stretching
  • TENS units
  • Strengthening and Rehabilitative Exercises
  • Functional Foot Orthotics by Foot Levelers
  • Etc.

Graston Technique ®

The Doctors at ChiroTrendz are trained in Graston Technique® which  is an evidence-based form of instrument-assisted soft tissue mobilization (IASTM) that enables them to effectively address scar tissue and fascial restrictions.

IASTM techniques uses specially-designed stainless steel instruments to specifically detect and effectively treat areas exhibiting soft tissue fibrosis or chronic inflammation.

Cold Laser Therapy

Cold Laser is a safe, gentle, and effective method of healing. The mechanism behind cold laser therapy is bio-stimulation, which actively stimulates healing at the cellular level instead of just reducing pain and inflammation. The light from the laser is absorbed by the tissues, which then triggers several physiological responses leading to better health. Some of these responses include: tissue repair, improved circulation, reduction of inflammation, and pain relief. After being treated with a Cold Laser by the doctors at ChiroTrendz, you can expect a reduction in pain, increased mobility and range of motion.
